Reflective Practice for Teacher Education
Triad Reflect is a web and mobile platform used by university teacher-education programs to support student teachers during their classroom placements.
Built around the teaching triad
Every student-teacher placement brings together three people, and Triad Reflect keeps their reflection and feedback in one place.
Reflect on each day
Write or record voice reflections on lessons, challenges, and growth throughout the placement.
Mentor in context
The classroom mentor responds to reflections and shares observations from day-to-day work together.
Guide from the university
The faculty supervisor follows a student's progress and gives feedback across the term.
Overseeing the whole cohort
Every cohort is guided by a program coordinator — the faculty member who runs the placement program. Coordinators set up terms and triads, monitor participation across every student, and support student teachers, supervisors, and cooperating teachers throughout the term.
What the platform does
A focused set of tools for supervised teaching placements.
Written & voice reflections
Students capture reflections by typing or recording audio.
Feedback & conversation
Supervisors and cooperating teachers respond in context.
Progress over time
Reflections are organized by week across the placement.
Coordinator oversight
Program staff manage cohorts, terms, and participation.
